In celebration of Queen Victoria’s 200th birthday this month, The Milestone Hotel and Residences is featuring an exclusive package for their guests — The Victoria Celebration. Guests will feel like royalty as they stay directly across from Kensington Palace, where the queen grew up, while being lucky enough to explore the history of one of Great Britain’s most-cherished monarchies.
Available until June 9th, 2019, guests are invited to stay in a beautifully appointed suite overlooking Kensington Palace. You and your loved one will experience the very best of what the Milestone has to offer – including a delicious Royal Afternoon Tea and private dinner in the most romantic Oratory. You can further personalize your package with additional experiences to make your stay even more special.
Like all 17 hotels in the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, each room at The Milestone is individually designed with original artwork and antiques; it is family owned and run by the Tollmans, who have an immense passion for hospitality. The world-class dining here includes president and founder Beatrice Tollman’s signature dishes, and has a grand reputation of devoted, warm and engaging staff.
The suites at The Milestone Hotel are exceptional and unique, and several have a very “royal” theme – much like The Meghan Suite. This suite was named in tribute of Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex, which blends a refined modern style with bold design. The room has Leopard-print carpet throughout, the largest shower room in the hotel with double doors leading to the marbled double sink and shower with separate enclosed toilet, and of course, the views looking out across Kensington Palace and Gardens.
The Tudor Suite includes an ornate Tudor Rose ceiling and extraordinary glass chandelier. The beautifully designed king-size bedroom has a four-poster bed and a living area that leads into an additional living room, distinctly inspired by the Tudor period between 1485 and 1603 – complete with traditional rich oak paneling lining the walls. Intricate features can be discovered on walls enriched with hanging tapestries and embroideries. With two fireplaces and comfortable, bespoke seating area, a cozy ambience is achieved in a grand setting. Side views of Kensington Gardens can be admired from three large sets of light-filled windows.
