LuxeGetaways Magazine – Spring 2017 | Always one of our favorite hotels in Victoria, British Columbia, Fairmont Empress has been going through a major renovation for some time now… but this transformation will be completed very soon. Though the hotel has remained fully operational during the renovation, the official unveiling of Phase Two will surely be impressive when it happens this June. With $55-million invested into this renovation, Q at the Empress is a bold new restaurant and bar; the lobby lounge is more elegant and sophisticated than ever before; Fairmont Gold has been expanded with a terrace that overlooks Victoria’s Inner Harbour; an expansive and glamorous Royal Suite was revealed; and 235 lavish guest rooms are already completed. When Phase Two is completed in June, it will feature a spectacular new lobby, renovated Willow Stream Spa, renewed public spaces, and the remaining 229 guest rooms. We look forward to seeing all of the renovations, but for now, here is a glimpse into the rebirth of Fairmont Empress.
