Princess Cruises, a leader in Alaskan voyages, has introduced its most expansive Alaska season yet for 2026. This new program boasts 180 departures, covering 19 destinations, and presents eight ships, including the debut of Star Princess—the latest addition to the fleet and the first Sphere Class vessel to explore the state. Travelers can anticipate unforgettable adventures during the season, from views of towering glaciers to encounters with Alaska’s diverse wildlife.
Beginning in the summer of 2026, Star Princess, the newest addition to Princess Cruises’ prestigious fleet, will guide guests through the majestic waters of the Great Land. This voyage will be the first time a Sphere Class ship has sailed these glacial routes, marking a significant milestone for Princess Cruises. Guests on board can look forward to world-class dining, opulent accommodations, and cutting-edge entertainment, all designed to enhance their Alaskan adventure.
“2026 will reinforce Princess’ leadership in Alaska vacations. The deployment of the magnificent Star Princess to Alaska for the first time will offer guests unprecedented views, luxurious accommodations, and the finest food, beverages and entertainment ever seen in the Great Land. Our guests will experience Alaska like never before aboard our innovative Sphere Class ship,” says John Padgett, Princess Cruises president, in a press release. “Whether you’re a first-time cruiser or a seasoned traveler, Princess is the ultimate choice for luxury and adventure, with awe-inspiring glaciers, unforgettable wildlife encounters, and the freshest seafood imaginable.”
Highlights of the 2026 Alaska season include the Voyage of the Glaciers, where guests aboard Discovery Princess, Grand Princess, Coral Princess, and Island Princess can enjoy seven-day journeys through two of Alaska’s most stunning glaciers. For those seeking a longer excursion, the Voyage of the Glaciers Grand Adventure offers a 14-day exploration of the region. Other exciting itineraries include the Inside Passage cruises, ranging from seven to 20 days, and longer sailings like the 20-day Ultimate Alaska Solstice on Ruby Princess.
Princess Cruises also enhances the Alaskan experience with its award-winning North to Alaska with the Princess program, which enriches each voyage with cultural and educational activities. From naturalist talks and a Northern Lights planetarium experience to the Junior Ranger program for young cruisers, this program ensures guests of all ages can fully immerse themselves in the depths of Alaska. Additionally, the season offers more than 20 cruise tour options, including a 15-night National Parks Tour, which combines a seven-day cruise with visits to five of Alaska’s most breathtaking parks, including Glacier Bay, Denali, Wrangell-St. Elias, Kenai Fjords National Park, and Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park in Skagway.
