Costa Rica’s newest beach town, Las Catalinas, is welcoming summer travelers to experience the magic of the seaside destination during its first-ever Family Summer Camp, an exclusive opportunity for adults and children alike to live like a local during an immersive seven-day experience hosted by renowned travel team, Beach Town Travel. The summer camp will take place until September 2024 and includes immersive cultural programs, wildlife and nature adventures, outdoor recreation, and more for the whole family to enjoy.

Situated in the northwest province of Costa Rica’s Gold Coast, Las Catalinas is a vibrant new town located near pristine Pacific beaches and one thousand acres of protected tropical dry forests in Guanacaste. The area is refreshingly car-free, aiming to better connect people with other like-minded travelers and harmonize individuals with nature as they spend more time on foot. This sustainable outlook gave Las Catalinas’ first neighborhood, Beach Town, a Charter Award recognizing the town for achieving “more equitable, sustainable, connected, healthy, and prosperous communities.”

In addition to its scenic grounds (plus over 26 miles of extensive hiking and biking trails), Las Catalinas also houses an assortment of hotels, shops, restaurants, day spas, parks, and other recreational sites to explore.
