Rich in history and timeless opulence in the heart of Florence, Italy, Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi Firenze Hotel is the newest addition to the renowned Tivoli Hotels portfolio following a multi-year renovation of the centuries-old setting. This thoughtfully restored palace now welcomes guests to artistic Renaissance grandeur, contemporary comfort, and Michelin-starred culinary offerings.

Adding to the ever-growing collection of Tivoli Hotels, Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi is the newest Tivoli property to debut in Italy. The new hotel is set in Florence’s historic center, making the destination within walking distance of the city’s iconic cultural landmarks, including the Duomo complex, Piazzale Michelangelo, the Medici Chapel, and the bustling San Lorenzo market. It is also conveniently located just minutes from the Santa Maria Novella railway station and a 20-minute drive from Amerigo Vespucci Airport.

Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi

Before transforming into the opulent palace it is today, Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi was once the elegant home of two aristocratic Florentine families, the Gaddis and the Arrighettis. The Italian hotel showcases its storied past by adorning the space with historic antiques, including exquisite frescoes, paintings, and art pieces from the Renaissance era. The architecture has also been meticulously preserved, with internationally renowned designers Patrizia Quartero and Guy Oliver leading the renovation, working closely with specialized restorers and local artisans to maintain the palace.

Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi houses 86 elegantly appointed rooms within the Florentine setting, including eight luxurious suites. Each guest space features authentic period furnishings, local art, and contemporary, functional comforts. The highlight of these options, The Presidential Suite, offers scenic views of the city’s skyline from a private terrace, including the Duomo di Firenze, a cathedral home to the works of Michelangelo, Donatello, and Giotto.

Outside of frescoed accommodations, the Florentine hotel upholds Tivoli Hotels’ tradition of showcasing authentic local cuisine at each destination. Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi is no exception, featuring three exceptional on-site dining experiences inspired by the enchanting flavors of Italy.

These include Terrae Restaurant, a fine dining experience with a menu that highlights fresh Tuscan and Italian dishes; Aria Rooftop Bar, boasting one of the city’s finest views, perfect for enjoying pre-dinner aperitifs, garden-inspired cocktails, and an assortment of light bites; and Milton Bar, a cozy lobby spot inspired by one of Palazzo Gaddi’s most notable guests, poet John Milton.

Each culinary destination is managed by Executive Chef Iside de Cesare, a Michelin-starred chef from La Parolina in Trevinano, alongside Resident Chef Salvatore Canargiu. The talented duo also hosts a variety of bespoke experiences for guests, including hands-on cooking classes, lessons on the art of homemade pasta, private Tuscan tastings in the hotel’s exclusive winery, and romantic candlelit dinners.

Rates for the Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi start at $334 per night USD.  For more information, visit www.tivolihotels.com.
