The 10-day Elegance of the Pharaohs Journey

On arrival to Cairo, you will stay at the Mena House Hotel, which has striking views of the pyramids from the private balcony of your room.

You will be with a knowledgeable Egyptologist and head to the Great Pyramids at Giza and their guardian Sphinx. Your exploration of Cairo with your Egyptologist includes entry into one of the Pyramids and into the new Grand Egyptian Museum. You will then continue to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the oldest in the world.

Guests will embark on a five-day cruise across the legendary Nile River on the luxurious River Tosca by Uniworld. This features a stylishly adorned lounge, with full-service bar, a cozy library, restaurant, fitness rooms and swimming pool. The River Tosca will give you all the sights in the utmost luxury.

Along the way you will travel to a Nubian village to meet local families in their traditional dwelling where they will demonstrate the regional bread-making process and later have a colonial English-style high tea at Aswan’s Old Cataract Hotel’s terrace during sunset.

After your cruise on the Nile, you will stay at the Four Seasons at the First Residence in Cairo—a famous hotel built to attract the nobility of Europe. Over the years it has been home to Howard Carter, Jane Fonda, King Farouk as well as many crown princes and princesses.
