In case you were looking for another reason to make the trip to Australia, one of our favorite hotels in Sydney, The Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, has announced the renovation of its Executive Club. With this newest transformation, the exclusive level 32 venue will be a luxury residential-style retreat overlooking the harbor. We think that you will enjoy the opportunity to visit this new lounge as we move into 2017…

The acclaimed Hotel in Sydney’s The Rocks will close its Executive Club on September 25, 2016, to undertake an extensive enhancement program, reopening in December 2016 as Sydney’s most stylish and luxurious lounge. Four Seasons Hotel Sydney has worked with award-winning Australian interior designer Miriam Fanning of Mim Design to reinvent the exclusive space, with a design inspired by the Hotel’s history and harborside location.

The new lounge will be a spacious, high-rise haven of relaxation and luxury, with an extended private entrance, elegant furnishings, and bay window seating looking out to the harbor and city. The Sydney Harbour-inspired color palette of inky blues, soft greys of the Sydney Opera House sails and brushed brass will be complemented by luxurious home-away-from-home features such as plush velvet armchairs, unique contemporary art by Australian artists and a solid stone-topped table in the private meeting room.

Central to the design will be an impressive Australian food and beverage concept featuring locally sourced seasonal produce and an open bar stocking premium spirits and a sommelier’s selection of Australian wines. During the renovation, guests staying in the Hotel’s Club accommodation rooms will be extended special privileges in place of lounge access.

“The transformation of our level 32 Executive Club into a stunning residential-style retreat will give our guests further opportunity to indulge, relax, and enhance their stay in style,” said Rudolf van Dijk, General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. “Demand for our Club experience continues to rise from both business and leisure travelers, and our reinvented luxury lounge will ensure we’re best placed to continue delivering memorable experiences, personalized service, and exclusive privileges that our Hotel is renowned for.”

The Four Seasons Sydney makes the most of this dynamic city. The views are amazing from all areas of the hotel, and the city’s attractions are only minutes away. Guest rooms are spacious and those looking for even larger rooms have numerous suite options, including the rooms and suites on the Executive Club level (when available). A modern bistro experience is a favorite for guests at Pei Modern that celebrates the seasonal produce, and the Grain Bar is a must-visit during your stay.

Circular Quay is the hub of Sydney Harbour and a vibrant place to visit as ferries come and go every few minutes. The buzz of the CBD (Central Business District) is electric; and shopping at the largest duty-free shopping mall at DFS Galleria next door to the hotel (Sydney’s largest duty-free shopping mall), or the local boutiques of Pitt Street, makes for a perfect afternoon. Save an entire day to explore The Rocks District, where you can climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, or enjoy a casual Japanese meal at a local favorite, Nakashima, located at 7 Cambridge Street.
