Colorado is often sought after for its amazing back bowls, steep and long ski runs and sunny ski conditions. Though winter in the mountains is always a favorite, Denver and its neighboring mountain towns also offer endless possibilities for fun, relaxation and warm weather adventure.  In the summer and fall, travelers can look forward to great hiking, white water rafting, golf, mountain biking, food festivals and concerts. A great deal of development has been taking place in Colorado as it continues to attract tourists and investors. Here are some notable additions to Colorado’s hotel scene.

THE MAVEN at Dairy Block

Denver’s Lodo District is under construction and the vibrant new micro-district Dairy Block is the newcomer on the scene. Dairy Block is a mixed-use redevelopment of the LoDo block that once housed Denver’s Windsor Dairy.  The soul of Dairy Block is the Alley- a walkable area of the city that is now fully open. Dairy Block is home to new restaurant and bar offerings including Denver Milk Market by Chef Frank Bonanno, eclectic boutique retailers and an urban office space running from 18th and 19th between Blake and Wazee Streets.

Spring of 2017, a new urban hotel concept The Maven at Dairy Block opened just one block from Coors Field. The official hotel of the Colorado Rockies offers a special baseball-themed Diamond Suite and unique packages with special access to Coors Field and the games. The hotel with 172 creatively designed guest rooms offers accommodations including 11 expansive suites, 10 Bunk Rooms and 48 Double Queens with high ceilings, large soaking bathtubs, balconies and big windows.

The Maven’s stand out art collection showcases over 400 original pieces by local Colorado artists and its vibrant Poka Lola Social Club bar is a destination in itself with craft cocktails and an extensive beer menu. The hotel restaurant offerings include an Airstream camper that sells baked goods and coffee and the second outpost of Kachina Cantina.  With access to a 4,500 square foot fitness facility, complimentary transportation within two miles, its convenient location two blocks from Denver Union Station and rates starting at $189 per night this newcomer is quickly becoming a favorite among tourists visiting Denver and locals looking for a Colorado Staycation.
