Always on the lookout for unique real estate opportunities around the world, this one certainly has that wow factor that so many residents are looking for today. Anaha® is one of the most sophisticated and design-forward towers on O‘ahu, and sets a new tone for the evolving architecture of Honolulu. Designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz in partnership with Benjamin Woo Architects, this 311-unit building offers a diverse range of sophisticated residences. Beyond the services and amenities of the building, residents of Anaha also have access to all of Ward Village, an award-winning master-planned community that offers a wealth of shops, restaurants, entertainment options, and artfully designed public spaces.
Anaha, meaning “reflection of light,” was designed to capture the reflected light of the Pacific Ocean and celebrate the beauty of the shoreline. Inspired by the district’s surrounding landscape and proximity to the ocean, the planned design reflects Ward Village’s continued effort to root its architecture in the distinct environment and culture of the local area. The tower’s shape is derived from a sequence of interlocking and alternating softly curved floor plates, wrapped in a smooth glass skin. The composition is reminiscent of the play between the crests and troughs of a calm ocean wave. And like a wave, the reflection of light off the façade will constantly alter as the viewpoint and environmental conditions change. Informed by Hawaiian tradition but modern in its outlook, Anaha is an iconic addition to the Honolulu skyline, and one that is beyond impressive.
Nearing a complete sell-out, Anaha offers 244 studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom tower residences as well as 73 low-rise flats and townhomes. In addition to wraparound views from the beachfront to Diamond Head and from Kewalo Harbor to the sunset in the west, residents of Anaha enjoy over an acre of luxurious amenities, both outdoor and indoor, including a glass-bottomed, saltwater pool (designed by Surface Design) perched 80 feet above Auahi Street.
An architectural gem, Anaha will become a hub for the community and will feature O’ahu’s first Merriman’s restaurant. Located on the ground floor of the building, famed chef Peter Merriman’s signature establishment will showcase island-grown and harvested foods through simple preparations that reflect the myriad flavors of Hawai’i’s multiculturalism.
Anaha is also home to Hawai’i’s largest living green wall. Visually stunning, the immaculate living green wall – brimming with a mix of approximately 8,000 tropical plants, including ferns, bromeliads, lawai, and syngonium – is known to improve air quality, absorb noise, and most importantly, it fosters a sense of tranquility and well-being for an overall holistic lifestyle. The captivating wall, designed by First Look Exteriors in Hawai’i, spans from the exterior of the building stretching into the grand lobby and measures 80 feet wide by 15 feet tall at its largest portion.
Anaha is the second residential condominium tower to be completed within Honolulu-based Ward Village®, a 60-acre master planned community transforming Honolulu’s urban core. Ward Village is at the forefront of sustainable community development, integrating significant architecture, local culture, and public space. The project is Hawai’i’s only LEED-ND Platinum-Certified project, and the largest neighborhood development in the country to receive such a prestigious certification.
