Crystal Cruises has announced the name of its next ocean ship, Crystal Grace, marking the company’s first new build in twenty-five years and the first under the ownership of Abercrombie and Kent Travel Group. Scheduled for delivery in May 2028, the vessel will begin her inaugural season on June 11, 2028, following a select series of preview sailings. The introduction of Crystal Grace signals a major step forward for the brand, reflecting a renewed focus on craftsmanship, innovation, and a refined guest experience that aligns with Crystal’s long-established position in the luxury cruise sector.

The reveal followed a digital word game shared across the brand’s social channels, which invited travelers and Crystal enthusiasts to guess the ship’s name before the official announcement. The campaign served as an early showcase of the broader launch strategy, designed to highlight both Crystal’s heritage and its evolving vision for the future. By engaging guests in the reveal process, the company reinforced its connection with a loyal global audience while introducing the next chapter of its fleet.

Cristina Levis, CEO of Abercrombie and Kent Travel Group, described Crystal Grace as a promise of elegance, warmth, and tranquility that reflects the core values of the brand. She emphasized that Crystal’s recognition as the World’s Best Cruise Line by Travel and Leisure is tied to its approach to service, dining, onboard space, and curated shore programs. According to Levis, the new ship builds on this legacy by elevating familiar hallmarks while introducing new features designed for the next generation of luxury travelers who expect thoughtful design supported by industry-leading expertise.

The selection of the name Grace reflects the seamless and refined experience Crystal aims to deliver across every touchpoint of the voyage. At 61,800 gross tons with capacity for 650 guests based on double occupancy, Crystal Grace will offer spacious all-suite accommodations and a contemporary design that prioritizes comfort and understated luxury. The ship will feature a full promenade encircling the vessel, providing guests with uninterrupted access to open-air ocean views and creating a relaxed environment that encourages leisurely exploration throughout the day.

Dining will remain a central element of the onboard experience, with the return of signature venues that have become synonymous with Crystal’s culinary reputation. Guests will find Umi Uma, the only Nobu restaurant at sea, alongside the only Beefbar at sea and menus curated by the Michelin-starred Alajmo brothers at Osteria d’Ovidio. These offerings will be included in the voyage fare, reinforcing Crystal’s commitment to a comprehensive and high-quality culinary program. The ship will also maintain one of the highest crew-to-passenger ratios in the luxury segment, ensuring the level of personal service that has defined the brand for more than three decades.

On shore, Crystal guests will benefit from Abercrombie and Kent’s global network of destination management companies, which will curate a series of immersive experiences and exclusive events. This integrated capability sets Crystal apart within the industry, offering travelers access to programs that blend cultural insight, privileged access, and seamless logistics. By pairing elevated onboard amenities with expert-driven land experiences, the brand aims to deliver a well-rounded and cohesive journey for discerning guests.

Crystal will share additional details about the suite categories for Crystal Grace in December, with further announcements on design features, inaugural itineraries, and new onboard programs scheduled for release in the coming months. The ship’s 2028 inaugural season is expected to go on sale in April 2026, and prospective travelers will have the opportunity to join a waitlist ahead of that date.
