LuxeGetaways Magazine – Fall/Winter 2017 |  Eric Hrubant is the Chief Travel Planning Officer and CEO of CIRE Travel in New York City, which is supported by the global force of Tzell Travel Group. Working with a dedicated team, CIRE Travel excels in working closely with its clients to be their allies in seamlessly developing and executing a variety of travel needs – including corporate/personal travel, groups and honeymoons.

There is certainly an unsaid amount of pressure on everyone when designing the perfect honeymoon experience; and with the infinite number of options around the world today, this pressure is greater than ever. An increasing amount of honeymooners want more than an exotic location, they want an experience that they can forever remember. This has lead to the team at CIRE Travel to create contrasting honeymoons on several occasions that results in an unforgettable honeymoon experience when combined.

“Over the last few years, I’ve done honeymoons that combine two contrasting experiences in the same trip,” said Eric Hrubant. “Many couples plan to start a family soon after their marriage, so they like to include a number of activities and experiences during their honeymoon!”

Option 1: Seychelles and Tuscany

In this case, the husband-to-be wanted an exotic beach location in the Maldives, but the bride preferred the rolling hills of Tuscany. CIRE was able to fly them from JFK to Mahe, Seychelles via Dubai where they stayed at the Kempinski Seychelles Resort Baie Lazare in a Sea View room for seven nights. As with many couples today, this was an ideal length of time to simply relax after the excitement of the wedding, and enjoy the serenity and beauty of Seychelles.

They then flew from Mahe to Milan via Dubai on Emirates. After a smooth flight, the newlyweds proceeded by train to beautiful Tuscany where they stayed for six nights at Castello di Casole, a Timbers Resort. This romantic resort provided the perfect backdrop for this lovely couple to explore the gorgeous 100 acres of organic vineyards and olive groves where they produce several wines and olive oils; and even sneak-in visits to nearby Florence, Siena and San Gimignano.

Option 2: South Africa and Mauritius

When planning a honeymoon, it is always tricky to find that perfect balance of exciting activities with a chance to relax and enjoy being a couple. In these cases, CIRE loves to recommend that the adventurous couples consider a combination of South Africa and Mauritius. South Africa has an incredibly diverse cultural history and exciting outings such as diving with Great White Sharks in Cape town; wine tasting in Stellenbosch; game viewing in the world famous Kruger national park; whale watching along the garden route; and diamond shopping in Johannesburg. After adventures of this magnitude, it is time for some relaxation at the Indian Ocean Island of Mauritius.

With sugar sand beaches and crystal blue waters, Mauritius is the dream getaway for newlyweds who want to dip their toes in warm water while taking romantic walks in the sand. However, Mauritius also boasts incredibly varied cuisine, world class wind sports, plenty of sailing trips, horseback riding, hiking and exciting adventuring… that is if you can drag yourself away from your beach front villa and that breathtaking view with exceptional service. Mauritius is bound to send any couple back home to start their new married life together, knowing that they have captured numerous memories to share for years to come.
