The Lake House on Canandaigua will host the return of Broadway at The Lake this spring, a one-night-only live musical theater performance taking place Friday, April 17, 2026, in the property’s lakeside Event Barn. The event brings established Broadway performers to the Finger Lakes for an intimate evening of live vocals and storytelling, offering a more direct and accessible way to experience the genre outside of a traditional theater setting. Designed as a single-night program, it centers on a curated selection of songs from some of Broadway’s most recognizable productions, performed in a venue that emphasizes proximity to the stage.

Set on the shores of Canandaigua Lake, The Lake House on Canandaigua is a Michelin Guide-recommended property known for its contemporary design and strong sense of place. The hotel features 124 guest rooms and suites, a timber-frame event barn, a lakefront boardwalk, a year-round pool and hot tub, and the Willowbrook Spa, with the Event Barn serving as a primary gathering space for performances and special events. As part of the Preferred Hotels and Resorts L.V.X. Collection, the property has established itself as a leading destination within the Finger Lakes region.

The performance will feature Talia Suskauer and Jonathan Christopher, two accomplished performers with extensive Broadway and touring credits. Suskauer is best known for her portrayal of Elphaba in Wicked, both on Broadway and on national tour, and has also appeared in Be More Chill and Sunday in the Park with George. Christopher, a Bermudian American baritone, has performed in the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd and has taken on principal roles in Hamilton, including Aaron Burr and George Washington, during its national tour and Canadian premiere. Their combined experience spans musical theater and opera, bringing a well-rounded and technically strong program to the evening.

Music direction will be led by Dan Micciche, the longtime music director and conductor of Wicked on Broadway. With more than a decade of experience leading productions of the musical on Broadway and internationally, Micciche brings a high level of musical consistency and familiarity with the material. His involvement supports a performance that maintains the structure and quality expected of Broadway-caliber productions while adapting to a smaller, more intimate venue.

The evening will include a selection of songs from well-known Broadway productions, spanning both classic and contemporary works. The format is designed to feel approachable and engaging, with a mix of solo performances and duets that highlight each performer’s range. Hosted inside the hotel’s lakeside Event Barn, the setting offers clear sightlines and a closer connection to the stage, creating a more direct and engaging viewing experience.

Guests will be welcomed with passed hors d’oeuvres before the performance, and additional food and beverages will be available during intermission from a full-service bar offering wine, beer, and specialty cocktails. Ticket options include general admission and preferred seating, both of which are first-come within their respective sections, as well as a limited number of VIP lounge areas designed to accommodate small groups in a more private setting.
