It’s official, as of December 27, 2013, the newest property to join the collection of luxury hotels in New York is open to their first guests (or in the case of this hotel concept, “hotel residents”) – welcome to the neighborhood WestHouse New York. Part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the WestHouse New York has been teasing future guests this season with the opening date being pushed back several times, but as always, good things come to those who wait. This amazingly attentive staff is eager to put all of the exclusive services and amenities to work for their guests and proceed into 2014 in a very positive direction.

“We recognized a niche within the industry that was not being addressed by any New York City Hotel,” said Karla Keskin, General Manager. “What we have composed for this lifestyle luxury property is an experience that blends the exceedingly superb privileges of a private club with the elegant residential comforts of a refined hotel environment.” To make this level of service possible, WestHouse New York has partnered with Luxury Attaché, the premier bespoke concierge firm, to create WestHouse Attaché. This allows for an in-house team of expert lifestyle curators to provide unparalleled services by creating distinctive personal itineraries for each guest/resident. With so many things to do and see in a city like New York, and being familiar with the excellent reputation of Luxury Attaché, I am especially intrigued to see these specialized services integrated into the WestHouse concept.

Though it seems that The Terrace won’t officially open until early 2014, the staff at WestHouse Hotel wants everyone staying with them to feel as if they’ve entered their very own pied-a-terre. “The Den” and “The Terrace” provide a sophisticatedly comfortable experience where guests will enjoy the refined ambiance of a high-end residence. On the lobby level, The Den will provide all hotel guests with premium alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic refreshments, Barista crafted coffees, and international culinary offerings throughout the day. On the 23rd floor, The Terrace will feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows showcasing breathtaking views, a relaxing lounge and separate dining areas provide numerous getaways while enjoying this home away from home.

Located on West 55th Street, The WestHouse Hotel has 172 guest rooms, including 16 spacious suites and an extensive 1,500-square-foot Presidential Suite. The highly acclaimed and award-winning firm of Jeffrey Beers International designed this property. “We are honored to partner with WestHouse New York to create a brand new type of hotel experience designed for the sophisticated traveler in New York City,” said Jeffrey Beers, founder of Jeffrey Beers International. “JBI conceived WestHouse as a boutique hotel that feels like a well-appointed home. It was designed as a timeless homage to the past and incorporates a rich selection of dark woods, textured marbles and bold graphics to create interiors that are modern and contemporary.” The interiors scream the glamour of the 1920’s, and include artwork and images that have been inspired by their neighbor, Carnegie Hall, as well as Hollywood actors and celebrities from yesteryear. Now that the doors are open, hotel residents can now indulge in this cutting edge hotel concept and let the WestHouse Attachés take care of all the details.
