Hilton has redesigned their loyalty program with a new look to the brand’s Hilton HHonors by dropping the extra “H” creating Hilton Honors, and are making significant changes to the program. LuxeGetaways attended a briefing with Hilton’s Senior Vice President & Global Head of Loyalty and Partnerships, Mark Weinstein, as he unveiled the new program that has been in the making for over two years.

“The best just got better,” Mr. Weinstein said. “Hilton is empowering its customers with choices.” He is referring to several key differences that make the program more user-friendly. First, instead of waiting until you have enough Points to qualify for a benefit, starting this April you will now be allowed to pool your Points with family and friends. Hilton wants all of its members to be able to use their Points, no matter how often they travel, with more flexibility, and usefulness from the program to their guests. Which brings us to the second change: Eligible Diamond members are able to take a year off without loosing their status, if life changes and they can’t travel. “We are much more human about travel,” Mr. Weinstein added.

The booking experience has changed too. Beginning in late February, members can use a new Points slider to select a combination of Points and money to book using all Points for free nights or nearly any combination of the two. This is all calculated for you by moving the slider to create your own combo.

And one more perk for being a Hilton Honors member. In addition to getting the lowest price on a room on their site, free Wi-Fi, Points towards free nights and the option of a digital room key, beginning this July, you can also use your Points to shop for travel essentials (or just about anything) through Amazon Shop with Points.

So now, where will you go? Find your destination here at www.hiltonhonors.com.
