A spectacular summer season is on the horizon for those of us worldwide in the Northern Hemisphere, and to celebrate we want to share a lovely summer cooler with you. Koloa Rum is a worldwide premier rum made entirely on the beautiful garden isle of Kaua’i in Koloa, from Hawaiian cane sugar. We think that you will enjoy this beautiful cocktail reminiscent of the colors and shades of a beautiful summer sunset in Kaua’i, no matter where you are.

This delicious drink was created by Jennifer Bryant of Kukuiula on Kaua’i and one of the entries in Koloa Rum’s Kaua`i’s Best Bartender Contest at Rum Fire Sheraton Kauai Resort last year. Picture yourself on a shady porch or lanai, or under the coconut palms with this delicious sipper in hand. The name “Malie” in Hawaiian means “calm, quiet, pacific… tranquil” ( Pukui/Elbert- Hawaiian English dictionary). We think this easy to make (and perfectly balanced) Koloa Rum cocktail made with the award-winning Koloa Coconut Rum belongs in your cocktail repertoire. Koloa Rum is available via your local liquor outlet or request your store to order some for you.
