Damiani designed and produced a stunning sterling silver 925% piece that fully encases the iconic Art Déco Colonia bottle, inspired by the décor of the Teatro Regio, a prestigious symbol of the Parma. The breathtaking city of Parma has long flourished as a center for aristocracy, art, music, food and culture, and become an emblem for the beauty and tradition of the Acqua di Parma brand.
In an effort to incorporate this historic city into the Colonia Centenary Edition’s design, Damiani’s central aspect of each of the 100 handmade silver encasements is Parma’s royal shield–a symbol that has always been part of Acqua di Parma’s tradition. Damiani incised the city’s coat of arms and the mark identifying Maison Damiani on the front of the bottle holder and engraved Acqua di Parma’s trademark on the stopper. A number carved on each bottle holder makes each piece a true one-of-a-kind.
Unchanged even 100 years later, Colonia’s precious fresh and elegant fragrance still features lemon and sweet Sicilian orange, together with Calabrian bergamot top notes. Its subtle sophistication continues to the aromatic heart that combines lavender, damask rose, verbena and rosemary. The unmistakable woody bottom notes of vetiver, sandalwood and patchouli create an unforgettable Eau de Cologne.
